綿の木

　ある晴れた冬の日、わたしは2か月前にお空に旅立った愛猫の写真を眺めていました。空虚な気持ちでした。そのうちにふと、この子を刺繍してみたい、と思いました。これまでお花などの小さなモチーフのシンプルな刺繍はしてきましたが、写実的な刺繍は経験がありませんでした。しかし、わたしはその思いつきに、とても心惹かれました。 　 　さっそく持っている刺繍糸をかき集め、写真と照らし合わせながら刺繍を開始しました。いつも見ていた姿でしたが、こんなにもつぶさに目を凝らして見たのは、はじめてでした。忘れるはずのない瞳の輝き、触れた感触、そのぬくもりが、そこにはありました。滑らかな毛並みの一本ですら見逃したくないと思いました。手を動かしながら、時には涙があふれることもありました。しかしそれは悲しみの涙ではなく、愛しさからの涙でした。 　そうして少しずつ、目の前に愛しいあの子の姿が浮かびあがってきたのです。刺繍糸の持つ輝きが彼らの毛並みの光沢を表現してくれます。まるであの子が目の前にいるかのように。 　綿の木はお写真をもとに刺繍をいたします。しかしその写真は、単なる愛らしい写真ではありません。そこには彼らの、生きることにひたむきでまっすぐな姿があります。そして彼らへ注がれる、飼い主様の慈しみのまなざし、愛しい想い、時には焦がれる程の想いが込められています。綿の木はその想いに誠実に向き合い、飼い主様とその愛しい存在がともに過ごす、かけがえのない一瞬を、ひと針ひと針に込めて刺繍いたします。 収益の一部を動物保護団体へ寄付させていただきます。 One fine winter day, I was looking at a picture of my cat that had taken to the skies two months earlier. I felt empty. Eventually, I suddenly wanted to embroider this child. Until now, I have done simple embroidery with small motifs such as flowers, but I have never experienced realistic embroidery. But I was very fascinated by the idea. I immediately gathered the embroidery threads I had and started embroidering while comparing them with the photos. I had always seen them, but this was the first time I had seen them so closely. There was the brilliance of the eyes, the touch, and the warmth that I could never forget. I didn't want to miss even a piece of smooth fur. As I moved hands, tears sometimes flowed. But these were not tears of sorrow, but tears of love. And little by little, before my eyes, the figure of my beloved cat began to emerge.The brilliance of the embroidery thread expresses the luster of animal hair. It's as if she's right in front of me. The cotton tree will be embroidered based on the photo. But the photo is not just a lovely photo. There is their single-minded and straightforward appearance to life. And the owner's affectionate gaze, affectionate thoughts, and sometimes even feelings of longing with sadness are poured into them. The cotton tree sincerely face that feeling, and embroider the irreplaceable moments that the owner and his beloved existence spend together in each stitch. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to animal protection organizations.
